Course Quality Review Assistant

Helping instructors and course leads review Moodle courses before launch by turning recurring setup problems into a practical quality checklist.

The problem

Course quality problems usually show up after students are already inside the course.

Moodle courses often carry forward old dates, hidden activities, broken links, mismatched rubrics, unclear instructions, and gradebook issues. These are not always teaching problems. They are workflow problems. This tool gives instructors and course leads a repeatable review process before a course opens.

What I built

A single-page prototype that guides a course review across Moodle setup, assessment clarity, gradebook readiness, accessibility, and student-facing navigation.

Why it matters

Course leads and instructors need a fast way to catch preventable issues before students start asking questions, missing work, or losing confidence in the course.

What this demonstrates

Instructional operations, process design, LMS quality assurance, plain-language workflow building, and practical support for instructors.

Design approach

Built around the actual spring review workflow.

1. Check what students see

The tool focuses on visible course experience: navigation, dates, instructions, links, and assignment access.

2. Find high-risk issues first

It prioritizes problems that create student confusion, instructor rework, grade disputes, or missed submissions.

3. Make review repeatable

The goal is not a one-time cleanup. The goal is a reusable course quality process for every term.

This portfolio version runs in the browser only. It does not connect to Moodle or send course information anywhere. It demonstrates the workflow, checklist logic, and reporting pattern.
